Hatton Seals Turkish Win in Playoff

European Tour

Tyrrell Hatton claimed his second Rolex Series title in dramatic fashion as he prevailed from a six man play-off to win the Turkish Airlines Open.

"I actually can't believe that I've won. It's been quite a difficult year in terms of things happening off course and the last month I feel like I really found my game again. I said to a few people on my team that if I was lucky enough to win again then I would definitely savour the moment. I think it's quite easy to take it for granted and sport's great when it's going well but when it's not going well, it kind of hits home, so I'm absolutely thrilled. I can't wait to get that Masters invite through the post again. It's a special feeling and just a bonus that comes with doing well."

"I made five birdies, then I need another birdie and an eagle in the playoffs just to beat him. He was a tough guy to beat. I hadn’t been making many putts, so I said, ‘I’ve got to make this, just to get in a playoff.’ ”

“Somehow, I am very settled, and my shot were solid. So I did not have to worry about other players. I just have to play bogey free round. One thing I wanted to improve is to have some birdies on Sunday back nine.”
